🇬🇧 New Maritime Safety Regulations in Croatia (2025)

As of March 29, 2025, Croatia has implemented new maritime safety regulations aimed at enhancing safety and protecting the coastal environment.​hhi.hr

Key Points:
Prohibited Mooring: Mooring to coastal vegetation, such as trees and shrubs, is now strictly forbidden to prevent environmental damage
Navigation Distances:

Vessels ≥30 meters and seaplanes: must stay at least 300 meters from the shore.
Vessels between 15 and 30 meters: minimum distance of 150 meters.
Vessels <15 meters: must maintain a distance of 50 meters.​

Swimming Areas:

Approaching designated swimming zones is restricted.
Vessels ≥30 meters and seaplanes: at least 300 meters away.
Vessels between 15 and 30 meters: minimum of 100 meters.
Vessels <15 meters: at least 50 meters distance.​
Anchoring Restrictions:

Harbormasters have the authority to prohibit or limit anchoring in specific areas to ensure safety and environmental protection.​
Tender Operations:

Tenders associated with a main vessel can operate within a 500-meter radius of the mother ship, except when transporting people or cargo to the nearest mooring or between an anchorage and the port.​Mandinus
